Mountain Dulcimer Festival Friday, May, 18, 2012
Mountain Dulcimer Festival includes workshops and hands-on instruction with musicians Madeline MacNeil, Ralph Lee Smith, Anne Lough and Rob Brereton. The weekend includes a concert by MacNeil, Smith, Lough and Brereton at 7 p.m. Saturday in Goodson Recital Hall that is open to the public. For the second summer, Shenandoah University is offering all its employees an opportunity to step closer to healthier and happier living. “Our Turn” is a diverse cross-departmental, 8-week program that promotes healthy life choices. All employees are invited to participate in as many as 50 events, beginning Monday, June 4. “Our Turn” concludes on Friday, Aug. 3. Each day offers challenges as well as unique 30-minute programs on campus; each challenge and program are worth points, and points are worth prizes. FREE
