New Student Programs

Three Students mugging for the camera

The Office of Student Affairs would like to welcome you to SU and are privileged to help you transition into life here at Shenandoah University.

Orientation sessions are designed to meet the needs of families, freshman and transfer students. During your one-day session, you will have the opportunity to meet current and incoming students, receive your official Hornet card and meet with the Dean of your academic program to receive your schedule. Information sessions will be offered for families as incoming students are immersed in activities that will show them the inside world of being a student at Shenandoah University. The day will end with an information fair that will allow families and students to see all about our wonderful community of Winchester, VA.

Welcome Week for new students starts the week prior to classes beginning in August. This week starts on move-in day for our freshman class and ends the first week of classes. Events are held during the day and nightly to encourage bonds between students, faculty and staff. Students are guided in the transition from home to residence hall living in a manner to set them up to be successful here at SU.

The entire staff here at Shenandoah University awaits your arrival here on campus and looks forward to meeting all of you this summer at one of our Orientation sessions and again during Welcome Week. Please contact the Office of Student Affairs if you have any further questions or you may use the FAQ link found on the right. We can't wait to show you all the exciting things that are in store for you here at Shenandoah University.
