Luncheon Lecture by Lisa Gable
former United States Ambassador and brand expert, at noon in the Ferrari Room, Brandt Student Center. Ambassador Gable is a seasoned technology executive and public official with more than 25 years experience in Silicon Valley, Washington, D.C., and Asia. She is a leading authority on managing and communicating Fortune 500 corporate and product brands. She held personal rank of ambassador when she represented the U.S. at the 2005 World EXPO in Aichi, Japan. At 30, she served as an advisor to the Secretary of Defense holding the protocol status as a three-star general. at 3 p.m. in Stimpson Auditorium, Halpin-Harrison Hall, features Barbara Riggs, a 31-year veteran with the United States Secret Service. At the time of her retirement in January 2006, she was the Deputy Director, the first woman since the agency’s inception in 1865 to hold that position. FREE

in Halpin-Harrison Hall is a symposium offered by the Byrd School and its community partners to offer practical advice and hands-on tools for individuals in sole proprietorships to multi-level organizations.
