Northern Virginia Campus History
In the early days, we had only classes for the Master’s in business administration. They were held in numerous locations, including the basement of a local bank, and the jury box of one of the courts. As the program grew, the University established a permanent campus in the Jewell Building on Catoctin Circle in Leesburg. That facility occupied nearly 5,500 sq. ft., with administrative offices, a reception area, a student lounge and four large classrooms.
As our programming grew to include several Master’s degrees and a Ph.D. in education, as well as various offerings in continuing education, it became obvious that we needed more space. The Campus Today The campus was designed with the adult student in mind. Everything from carpeting to wall covering gives the impression of a corporate office environment, which appeals to students in all programs. The campus is open all year, from 9 a.m. - 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and 9 a.m. - 4p.m. on Fridays. We are also open on certain Saturdays, as well. |
