The School of Health Professions is committed to preparing leaders, not just practitioners, for the evolving world of health care.
The school includes six divisions: athletic training, nursing, respiratory care, occupational therapy, physical therapy and physician assistant studies.
The School of Health Professions relies on the deep experiences of a future-focused faculty and hands-on experiences in clinical rotations. The school partners with a collaborative and close ally, the Winchester Medical Center. Recognized as one of America's "Top 100 Hospitals," the front-edge medical campus has major clinical specialties in cancer care, cardiac care, emergency services, neurosciences, obstetrics/women's services, orthopedic surgery, psychiatric services and rehabilitation services. Students participate in exciting, hands-on clinical rotations throughout the region and the nation, as an important component of many of the graduate programs offered at Shenandoah University. Students also participate in academic research that contributes to the bodies of knowledge within their fields of study.
