Winterreise (Winter's Journey) Sunday, February, 5, 2012
Winterreise (Winter's Journey), a monumental and rarely performed song cycle by Schubert, begins at 5 p.m. in Goodson Recital Hall. Assistant Professor of Voice Byron Jones and guest artist Michael Adcock present this song cycle, which is based on poems by Wilhelm Müller. The recital is preceded by a short pre-concert talk by Dr. Adcock, beginning at 4:30 p.m. The performers remind all that, while the Super Bowl kicks off at 6:30 p.m., Schubert kick off at 5 p.m. FREE
