Dr. Miles K. Davis, an internationally recognized educator and proven business leader, has been named the new dean of Shenandoah University’s Harry F. Byrd, Jr. School of Business.

Stefan Debski is utlilizing skills he's learned in his marketing and entrepreneurship classes in the Harry F. Byrd School of Business to help him market an invention that allows consumers to manage customer reward cards from multiple retailers.

BB&T Corporation has donated $150,000 to Shenandoah University to aid in the creation of the BB&T Free Market Scholars Program; SU will offer scholarships for 10 students per academic year

Twelve students from Byrd School of Business travel to England for two-week program on Emerging Global Economic Leadership.

Stacie Johnston, manager of operational leadership development and employee training for L.L. Bean, has joined the lineup of keynote speakers for the upcoming symposium.

Anticipated Graduation Date: August 2010

MBA Student Kara Edmonson works as a legal assistant in Downtown Winchester. "As I continue my education in Business Administration, I continually parallel the concepts and information introduced in classes to the workplace. Whether applying my accounting knowledge, following my ethical compass, communicating with clients and co-workers or tackling a research project, the Byrd School faculty and the knowledge I am gaining in the MBA program have and will continue to foster my development as a professional business leader."

Brandon is now the marketing director for Chick-fil-A in Fairfax, Virginia. While attending SU, Brandon served as President of the Student Government Association and as Buzzy D. Hornet, the school's athletic mascot. Brandon also organized the Byrd Lecture Series. In his commencement speak to his classmates he said: "Go dream big, believe in your dreams, and achieve your dreams."

Tiffany graduated with a degree in business administration in May '06 and won the title of Miss West Virginia in June. Besides her business acumen, Tiffany is also a talented singer and has performed with "American Idol" runner-up, Bo Bice, Hank Williams Jr., and the Commodores
