Shenandoah University Students Attend CAREER15 Key Employer Panel in Charlottesville
Shenandoah University was invited to the CAREER15 Key Employer Panel event on Thursday, October 1. CAREER15 is a unique resource that connects students and graduates of 15 Virginia liberal arts colleges with human resources staff.
Shenandoah University was represented at the CAREER15 Key Employer Panel by Peter Schulke, Sierra Edwards, Jennie Ott, Greg Van Sickler, Mohamed Salih and John Axselle.

As a member of the Virginia Foundation for Independent Colleges (VFIC), Shenandoah University was invited to the CAREER15 Key Employer Panel event on Thursday, October 1 in Charlottesville, Va., at the Boar’s Head Inn.
CAREER15 is a unique resource that connects students and graduates of 15 Virginia liberal arts colleges with human resources staff looking for potential interns and employees. The program was created by the VFIC to expand the career opportunities of students attending one of its 15 member colleges and to serve the workforce needs of its corporate partners.
According to Shenandoah’s Director of Career Services Jen Spataro-Wilson, this recruiting network is not a giant international job network. The focus is bringing together a small, special group of student job seekers and the hiring managers of top-tier, Fortune 1000-level companies.
The participating companies at the Key Employer Panel included Altria, BB&T, SunTrust, Dominion Resources and Verizon Wireless. Shenandoah University was represented by Peter Schulke, Sierra Edwards, Jennie Ott, Greg Van Sickler, Mohamed Salih and John Axselle. The program included employer presentations, question and answer sessions, lunch and a mini career fair.
