Shenandoah University Student Production of ‘Othello’ Set for April 28-29

SU! IS!” (Shut Up! It’s Shakespeare), a student-run organization that performs and explores the works of William Shakespeare, will present “Othello”  at 8 p.m. on Wednesday, April 28 in the Glaize Studio Theatre, located inside the Ohrstrom-Bryant Theatre on the main campus of Shenandoah University in Winchester. A second performance will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 29, at the Old Schoolhouse Theatre and Reliance Theatre Project, the home of Shenandoah University President Tracy Fitzsimmons in Reliance, Va.

Lead actors in the production include Shenandoah University Seniors David Bazemore as Othello and Kevin Selwyn as Iago as well as Brianna Galligan, Emily Lynn and Stephen Strosnider.

There is no charge for admission, but donations will be accepted with all funds collected benefitting Shenandoah University’s efforts to reopen and rebuild the K-12 school College Catherine Flon in Carrefour, Haiti, which was heavily damaged by the devastating earthquake in January.
