Updated 4 p.m., Feb. 11 -
Even though the university planned to open on time or at least delay opening today, Feb. 11, an emergency text alert was sent at 7 a.m. notifying the campus community that SU is closed – for the seventh-straight day. Grounds crew have cleared roads and sidewalks since the Feb. 5 and 6 storm that left 26 inches of snow on campus, but high winds Wednesday blew drifts over many areas that had been cleared. Crews are back again today, making all of main campus accessible.
“I ask that both students and faculty remain flexible as we attempt to get back to our normal routines. Students should check Blackboard and SU e-mail regularly for course updates as they remain responsible for any work that has been assigned by the faculty,” said Senior Vice President & Vice President for Academic Affairs Bryon Grigsby.
The Smith Library is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. today, Feb. 11. The practice rooms in Ruebush Hall are open during the same hours the library is open when the university is closed.
