Free Shuttle Service Offered On Campus

On east campus, the shuttle van will pick up and drop off students in front of Romine between Romine and the Quality Inn. Main campus stops include Henkel Hall, Ohrstrom-Bryant Theatre, Halpin-Harrison Hall and Shingleton/Brandt Student Center.

As the days grow shorter and cold weather advances, university administrators recognize the need to provide safe, reliable transportation to those residential students who live in the East Campus Residential Community ( the Romine residence hall and nearby Quality Inn, and Red Roof Inn motels).

A shuttle service began operation for East Campus Housing to the center of campus on Monday, Nov. 9.

This shuttle is being offered on a two-week trial basis to determine if enough students need and want the service.

Routes and hours of operation are Monday through Friday, beginning at 7 a.m. and continuing throughout the day until 10:30 p.m.

On east campus, he shuttle van will pick up and drop off students in front of Romine between Romine and the Quality Inn.

On main campus, it will pick up and drop off students at Henkel Hall, Ohrstrom-Bryant Theatre, Halpin-Harrison Hall and Shingleton/Brandt Student Center.

The shuttle will run every half hour on the hour, meaning on the hour and half-past the hour.

“This is on a two week trial,”said Associate Vice President for Student Development and Director of Residence Life Don Appiarius. “We encourage students to use this service as it will help us assess if we should continue to operate the shuttle.”

This shuttle is strictly for Shenandoah University students “to get from main campus to East Campus Housing,”he said.
