Jacoby to be honored Super Bowl Sunday
SU's offensive line coach Joe Jacoby is set to be honored twice in the next two weeks for accomplishments related to his time in the National Football League.

Shenandoah University offensive line coach Joe Jacoby is set to be honored twice in the next two weeks for accomplishments related to his time in the National Football League.
Last week, the Kentucky chapter of the NFL Retired Players Association announced that Jacoby has been chosen for induction into its Hall of Fame.
At 1 p.m. on Super Bowl Sunday, Jacoby will be featured on the CBS Sports pre-game show as the offensive selection to the Phil Simms All-Iron Team: Super Bowl Edition.In
November, a CBS production team came to Shenandoah to interview Jacoby for this segment and shot footage of him at a Hornets football practice. Jacoby, a 1981 Louisville graduate,starred from 1981 to 1993 with the Washington Redskins in the NFL. He was an original member of the famed "Hogs" offensive line, earned four consecutive trips to the Pro Bowl from 1983 through 1986 and helped the Redskins to Super Bowl championships in 1983, 1988 and 1992.

In his career, Jacoby played in 170 games, scored one touchdown and was named to the NFL’s All-Decade team for the 1980s in addition to earning those four Pro Bowl selections.

The Kentucky chapter of the NFL Retired Players Association will formally induct Jacoby into its Hall of Fame in June.
Jacoby is preparing to coach his third season at Shenandoah and his second as a full-time member of Head Coach Paul Barnes’ staff.
