Jazz Ensemble Presents ‘Jazz at the Movies,’March 25

The Jazz Ensemble presents its annual “Big Band Bash”fund-raising concert March 25, at 8 p.m. in Armstrong Concert Hall. The theme is “Jazz at the Movies.” The ensemble performs while the audience views a silent movie by the legendary Charlie Chaplin.

“Jazz at the Movies”will feature the jazz ensemble performing while the audience views a silent movie by Charlie Chaplin. Popcorn and sodas will be available for a real at-the-movies feel.

 The Jazz Ensemble presents its annual “Big Band Bash”fund-raising concert Thursday, March 25, at 8 p.m. in Armstrong Concert Hall. The theme is “Jazz at the Movies,”and the ensemble will perform while the audience views a silent movie by the legendary Charlie Chaplin. The movie starts promptly at 8 p.m. Popcorn and sodas will be available in the Armstrong lobby for a real at-the-movies feel. Admission is free, but donations are greatly appreciated. Proceeds from this event will help support the April 21 appearance at Shenandoah of trumpet great Randy Brecker.
